I've been back working in my mom's quilt shop, so that means I've gotten to make more fun samples of patterns! Here are pictures of the Mini Nina doll clothing pattern, Little Ditties bags, and Pickles, the elephant.

Emlin
Well, after about 3.5 months out of the country, I think I'm ready to work on a dragon-making business again. I'm planning on figuring out some new things for packaging (like eggs for these little guys to hatch out of) and international shipping, and then I'll be ready to re-open on etsy! I have some new dragons that are done and just need names and others that are almost done. Hopefully I'll be able to post them soon.
In the meantime, this is a special order dragon for a good friend of mine. His name is Emlin, which, evidently, is Elvish for "yellow bird".

Amoore
This is another special dragon I've been working on. Amoore is a special-order wedding gift for someone who likes cows (and also likes my dragons). I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out :)

Aeglos
Hm, seems I've been busy. I haven't updated this with any new dragons in a while. I have been working on them as I have time. This is one of the latest: Aeglos. He was made as a gift for my fiance (who has been great at encouraging me to make dragons and coming up with new ideas).

Springer
This is my latest dragon! His name is Springer, in honour of our English springer spaniel (his name was Buster). It also seemed an appropriate name because he seems to have a bit of a rainstorm color pattern, and it frequently rains in the spring...
You can visit Springer on Etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/102885118/springer-a-miniature-soft-sculpture
In order to show that all my dragons really are fully posable, we were playing around with how to pose Springer's arms when he was standing on his hind legs. He wound up playing air guitar, so then I had to make a guitar as a photo prop. (it's not really a high-quality photo prop, so I don't plan on selling the guitar along with Springer, but it sure made for some great pictures)
Just to give you an idea of the size of that guitar.

Lucas
Here's my latest mini dragon: Lucas.
Lucas is the third dragon of this pattern to be offered for
sale. This design is entirely my own, start to finish, so I believe I can
guarantee the worldwide uniqueness of my dragons.
Lucas is made of ultrasuede and is fully posable, thanks to a full inner armature of wire. He has light amber glass eyes (and they're 3mm in diameter, to give you an idea of size). He is 4.5 inches long, under 1 inch wide (not counting his wings when folded), and has a wingspan just under 4.5 inches. This means that Lucas is extremely tiny. While he may look toy-like, he is a miniature work of soft-sculpture art.

A Sense of Scale
I've realized that most people don't really understand how truly tiny my dragons and other animals are until they actually get to hold them. I've always heard that a miniatures artist should strive to make things so that you can't tell that it's a miniature just from a picture. It should look just like a full-sized version. That's how you know you have a really high-quality, accurate miniature. Apparently, I've succeeded in that :) Unfortunately, that means that most people I know don't really appreciate the intricacy of what I do because they don't realize how small my animals are. Therefore, in hopes that it will convey the true size of these guys, I've taken some pictures of my dragons with coins and normal-size paperclips.

Arianne
I made another dragon! This is Arianne, and she's my first dragon of this style to be offered for sale. I've spent a few years working on creating a good dragon design, and I think I've finally found a style that works for me. Since I like miniatures, dragons with this pattern are around 4.5 inches long and have a wingspan between 4.5 and 5 inches. They are completely posable, thanks to a full inner armature. Arianne is on etsy here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/101405820/arianne-a-miniature-soft-sculpture
